Day 1: Discover Porto

An English-speaking Chauffeur will be waiting for you in a deluxe vehicle at the Porto International Airport (OPO). Be welcome to Portugal!

You will, then, be transferred to Porto

Drop-off at the Hotel. We present a meticulous assortment of hotels, thoughtfully categorized into two distinct levels, providing you with the autonomy to tailor your selection based on your individual preferences.

Check-in at one of these hotels: Category A - Torel Avantgarde or Category B, which includes Portobay Flores. 

At the Hotel lobby, meet with the certified private Guide who will show you the highlights of the city of Porto, On a walking tour, the guide will take you to the Clérigos Tower, designed and decorated by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, located near Lello Bookstore, considered by Lonely Planet one of the three most beautiful bookstores in the world. Across Aliados Avenue, you will find São Bento Railway Station, where you can observe its twenty thousand painted tiles, depicting historical landmarks. Continue to Santa Catarina Street which is located in the shopping district of the city center, the Bolhão Market, one of the oldest and most traditional markets in the city, and the Majestic Café, a place where you must stop, visit, and taste the famous “rabanada”. After enjoying one of the most beautiful views of the Douro River from Porto Cathedral, you will visit the Stock Exchange Palace of Porto, Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange), the building with the most different architectural styles in Porto. Last but not least, you should visit the Church of Saint Francis which is the most prominent Gothic monument in Porto and is also noted for its outstanding Baroque inner decoration. Decorated with exuberant gilt woodwork or gold leaf “Talha dourada”. The walking tour ends at the restaurant.

Dinner is waiting at  Real By Calçada, designed by Paulo Lobo, an interior designer from Porto, boasts decorative and architectural elements. The restaurant presents an eclectic menu that will take you on a journey between the classics of Portuguese gastronomy and dishes of Porto's popular imagination.

Day 2: Port Cellars 

Breakfast at the hotel. The Chauffeur is waiting for you in the hotel lobby.

Your first stop will be at Cockburn's,  located in Vila Nova de Gaia, which faces the twin city of Porto across the Douro River, and enjoy a premium tasting of 3 Port wines with 3 chocolates at the main tasting room. This room is an extension of the Port cellars, and only a wood-framed glass screen separates the two areas. 

Lunch is waiting for you at Vinum Restaurant, the result of the story of two families and two passions that came together to create a unique space. Vinum offers a high-quality gastronomic proposal that brings to the table the best traditions of the Douro, Trás-os-Montes, Minho, and the Atlantic that bathes Portugal: Alheira de Mirandela IGP, fish from the Matosinhos market and the exclusive old beef from Trás-os-Montes are some of the classics that can be tasted.

Then, you will visit the award-winner Graham's Port Lodge, from the Symington family. Graham’s is still a working cellar. No visit to the Lodge will pass without hearing the sounds of the Coopers’ hammers or seeing the lodge collecting samples for the tasting room. The building currently houses over 2,000 pipes (oak casks) and 40 tonnes and balseiros (large oak vats) of aging Port wine, as well as extensive cellars of Vintage Port, aging in bottle. Here you will have a tasting in a vintage room.

Day 3: Discover the Douro Valley

Breakfast at the hotel followed by Check-out.

The Chauffeur is waiting for you in the hotel lobby. Enjoy the scenic 2-hour road trip to the Douro Valley. 

You will discover Quinta do Vallado. The cellar that combines the latest technology with high-quality architecture is one of the highlighted places to visit in the Douro Valley. Quinta do Vallado and its leaders, João Ferreira Álvares Ribeiro, Francisco Ferreira, and Francisco Olazabal, all descendent of Dona Antónia, have reached a very high level, recognized by several national and international entities. Deepen your wine knowledge in a tour of the Winery and Wine Cellar with a Quinta do Vallado Wines Tasting.

Your lunch is waiting at DOC Restaurant. Led by Michelin-starred Chef Rui Paula, with modern and creative gastronomy, with Douro flavors. It’s a place of enormous beauty, blending the grandeur of the vineyard-covered mountains and the serenity of the Douro river and the riverside villages, only awakened by the passage of the train. DOC serves as a window into this breathtaking scenery, making every meal a unique and special moment.

Day 4: World's Best Vineyards

Breakfast at the Hotel. The Chauffeur is waiting for you in the hotel lobby. 

The first stop will be at Quinta do Crasto. Out of 1,500 wineries nominated around the world for the World’s Best Vineyard, Quinta do Crasto was selected as the #4 top vineyard worldwide. Its origin dates back to the 19th century. The first known references date back to 1615. One of the greatest acknowledgments came in 2008, when Wine Spectator, an international reference of the sector, considered Quinta do Crasto Reserva Vinhas Velhas 2005, coming from vineyards with 70 years, the third-best wine in the world that year, giving it a rating of 95 in one hundred points. You will visit the vineyards, including the famous old vineyards of Quinta do Crasto, a winery, and a barrel cellar. After the visit, you will have a tasting of 5 wines.

After the Wine experience, enjoy lunch and views in the Terraçu's Restaurant. The menu appeals to the senses and emotions, in a relaxed and curious way. The proposals are different every day and guests never know the menu, letting themselves be guided by the inspiration of the Chef.

After lunch, you will discover Quinta Nova, Nossa Senhora do Carmo. "One of the 9 must-see wineries in the world", distinguished by American Airlines. Quinta Nova Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of extreme beauty in the heart of the Douro. This property was before 1764 and historical research confirms it as a great land belonging to the Portuguese Royal Family. You will have a Guided Tour through the vines, the winery dated from 1764, and the underground cellar. The visit ends with a tasting of Reserve wines.

Enjoy a certified pedestrian circuit with 3 different routes, properly signed, in a certified total trail of 8 km. With a map and a list of conduct rules, clients can enjoy this activity, knowing a wine estate in detail, and highlighting its historical points. Crossing the orchards, make sure you pick some fresh fruit!

Day 5: Last Day in Paradise

Breakfast at the Hotel followed by Check-out.

You will discover the Douro Valley on an exclusive cruise in a Vintage Boat, a 66 feet Classic Wooden Yacht, an English ship built in 1957 in the shipyards of Christchurch, England, with a double hull in mahogany from Honduras, riveted with copper that gives her an added value both in safety and worth. The boat served the British Admirals on their travels to the high seas for the 'exchange' of officers on the battleships. Aboard the ship, you will enjoy a 3-hour cruise and an amazing lunch. Live moments of intimacy with nature while you travel with emotion along with the history until the times when the rabelos boats moved by the force of the sails and be amazed by the scenarios that the Douro has to offer. 

After lunch, you will be transferred to Porto International Airport (OPO).
