Despite this lasting prominence, a lot has changed since the Phoenician and the Roman occupation, when there was still an arm of the Tejo River flooding this area. The earthquake of 1st November 1755 transformed it into ruins, but provided the pretext for an innovative reconstruction of the city’s downtown area. In this walk you will learn about: the 1755 earthquake and the day after, the Roman salted fish factories, The Comércio Square.: center of power. Rebirth of Lisbon: the dream of a city come true, a new city built on water, The birth of modern seismology and The hidden churches. Enjoy your breakfast at the Hotel. The private driver is waiting for you in the Hotel. Starting in Lisbon, you will have the opportunity to discover some of the best wine producers of the region. The first stop will be at Adega Mãe. Adega Mãe is a temple erected to wine and the worship associated with it. It is discerning and demanding on the moment of producing/selling and available and opened when the moment of sharing arrives. It is a Cellar of the future, equipped with the most advanced media for an optimal production regarding its resources. Aware of the nobility of wine, respectful of its tradition and committed to nourish their origins. Guided visit and wine tasting. After the wine experience, discover Quinta do Gradil, an estate with a century-old wine tradition where you will taste the flavours of the Portuguese cuisine while enjoying one of the most charming views for wine lovers. Quinta do Gradil has a strong wine tradition that has persisted for centuries. The property comprises a noble Chapel ornamented by an artistically decorated tower, a cellar and an agricultural area of 200 hectares with fruit and wine production where international award-winning wines are produced. After lunch in the wine farm, the tour continues with a visit to the largest Oriental Garden in Europe - The Buddha Eden, at Quinta dos Loridos. Between Buddhas, pagodas, terracotta statues and various sculptures carefully placed among the vegetation, it is estimated that over 6,000 tons of marble and granite were used to build this monumental work. The central stairway is the focal point of the garden, where the golden Buddhas welcome you peacefully. In the central lake is possible to see KOI fish and the sculpted dragons that arise from the water At the end you will taste their fabulous wines. Before going back to Lisbon, we suggest a tour to one of the most charming medieval villages in Portugal - Óbidos- where you can't leave without tasting the famous Ginjinha de Óbidos. This charming and timeless town is a lovely "open air museum" of white houses surrounded by a medieval castle. Drop off at the Hotel

"We had two great experiences with WINTP. One was a dinner with clients in a fancy restaurant in Lisbon, and one was an entire day with trips to vineyards with a lunch, several wine tastings, and a great dinner to finish things off. Mariana who helped us has been great. I will definitely ask for Mariana's help in the future!"
