Jacinto was prompt and knowledgeable, the weather was perfect, and the wine was fantastic. Choosing the best part is tough. Nothing could ever beat the chef's signature lunch at Herdade do Esporão, except maybe the view right outside their restaurant.

We also loved the hotel (especially the pool) and just walking around Évora. Every winery we visited was well worth it; the tour guides were so friendly and helpful, the facilities were unique, and we were definitely introduced to foods and wines that we would have missed out on. It was the trip of a lifetime! Thank you for making it happen. You'll be hearing from us again—and hopefully soon 🙂

There are so many highlights! I especially loved the sailboat ride and my husband loved the visit to Quinta das Carvalhas.

We had an amazing time on the tour of the Douro Valley! Our guide was the highlight, he was outstanding and made the trip down and back there even better.

He was so informative and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed a little later at the last Quinta, and he was patient with us when we were ordering wines which we greatly appreciated since he was giving up his time.

We are all safely home now, and mostly recovered from the jet lag! I think we would all agree that our trip was excellent, and is one we'll remember forever. Vítor was dependable, knowledgeable, and helpful in every way possible.

There are so many highlights of the tour that it really is impossible to pick out just one. Ann and I compared our thoughts, and we came up with two - the incredible lunch at DOC on the bank of the Douro River (nine courses, I believe) and an almost equally amazing lunch at Barão Fladgate in Porto. We also really enjoyed an unexpectedly nice lunch in Lisbon at Gambrinus, and our tour and wine tasting at Quinta da Bacalhoa.

Other "finalists" for the highlights list are the rooftop dinner at Rossio Gastrobar Restaurant in Lisbon, the palaces of Cascais, the wine tasting and lunch at Sao Lourenco do Barrocal and the fabulous lunch at Terracu's Restaurant at Quinta Nova.

Martha Jane and Linda will probably have their own highlights to mention. I know they had many lunches, tours, and sights that they were amazed by!

Thank you so much for being patient with me as you worked out my itinerary.  I really appreciated your patience while I decided on the specific dates of my trip and I liked how you handled all the details, including providing me with the "Road Book''.  

All the places you arranged for me to stay were of the highest quality and the service was excellent.  Both of the winery tours and the tastings were a lot of fun. I especially like Quinta de Mata Mouros, and my guide Vanessa couldn't have been nicer.  She was very knowledgeable about Quinta de Mata Mouros, their wines, and the entire Silves area.  In fact, I have 6 bottles of their wine being shipped to me right now.

I really like the Anantara Vilamoura Resort - an exquisite room and an exceptional property.  I was very pleased with the 3HB room in Faro, and the room at the Pousada Convento, in Tavira.  I really liked the slower pace in Tavira, and had a great day at the beach (on the island - don't remember the name).

All of these experiences you organized for me were great, and I will highly recommend you to anyone I talk to who is interested in a fantastic experience in the Algarve.

My entire trip had many highlights. For the Portugal portion, the winery tour and tasting at Quinta de Mata Mouros was probably the highlight, including the drive there and touring Silves (the castle and cathedral afterward.  A fantastic day!

We had an amazing 10 days tour of your beautiful country. Compliments from all for the organization, timeliness, and some of the quality of various experiences.
Our tour was absolutely wonderful and Tiago and João were the most astounding drivers.  The tour guide Silvia was perfect .she truly has an interesting way of relying on and connecting the historical information in a very smooth manner, and we’ll never forget her kindness . Very nice professional, and polite. All the planned visits were beautiful and educational.

The highlight of the trip varied from person to person and i will list them all
1-the stay at Quinta Ventozelo… scenery, landscape, and atmosphere were so chilling and relaxing. The staff were so kind, and helpful and did their best to make our stay a comfortable home one. Service was impeccable … I would suggest they add a spa to their services and work more on food and culinary choices and it is the best relaxing destination.. it is a dream picturesque place
Spectacular location, a beautiful view
2-Pena palace, fantastic Sintra, and the well were mesmerizing. A beautiful spot not to be missed. And in that regard, there should be a warning and special transport arrangement for those who can not climb uphill. Two of our friends missed this spectacular tour because of uphill difficulty and lack of transport
3- Some liked Evora so much especially the Sao Francisco church and the fascinating Chapel of the bones ..
4- the boat trip in the Douro river and lunch at doc restaurant were perfectly timed , highly recommended , relaxing view of the river and the valley. LOVED BY ALL
5-in porto the highlight was livraria lello :one of the most beautiful bookshops that i have seen and so much worth the visit.

Could not be any better. The hotels chosen were superb, and we wished we could have spent more time relaxing in them

The tour was great.  The highlight was staying at Convento do Espinheiro Hotel and the trip out to Herdade do Esporao with the olive oil tasting and lunch in their restaurant. What a treat!! Fabulous food. The olive oils were wonderful.

The Altis and Convento do  Espinheiro Hotel were both very nice.  The Eurostar in Porto was less than average.  We had a view of a wall.  The room was clean but extremely small.  Of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip, the breakfast was the poorest.

I would recommend your group to anyone wanting to experience Portugal food and wine.  We really enjoyed ourselves.  On our own, I don't think we would have found the restaurants or experiences you provided us.  I will write a review on Google.

Good evening. 
We were very happy with the overall experience. The driver was punctual and we felt comfortable and safe during the rides.
We very much enjoyed the first winery at Ravasquiera. The grounds were beautiful. The carriage museum was interesting and a nice addition. The wines we tried were our favorites. The guide was great and had such a welcoming demeanor. It was a perfect way to start the day!

The second winery for lunch was stunning. The picnic lunch was nice and we enjoyed a chance to relax. I wish we would have done a light tasting after we finished eating. We were lucky to enjoy some of their wines the day previously in Evora- and they were also very good. The shop they had was nice as well.

The time in Monsaraz was really perfect. A nice walk through the town to the castle, a little shopping, and then back to the car was perfect. I’m very glad that we got to see the city.
I’m very happy with the experience overall and truly appreciate all the work and effort that was put into making this tour. I know I sent many emails for revisions! I plan on reaching out again in the future for my next vacation to Portugal for wine tours as I’m just so happy with the experience. Will recommend your services to others. Only want to see Portuguese wines get the recognition they deserve!

We had the most beautiful holiday in Portugal. The wine tour of the beautiful Douro Valley was Five Star.

The hotels we stayed in were superb and we wished we could have spent more time relaxing in them. The Food was excellent, we had never been treated to such magnificent dishes.

The wine tours were very informative and we enjoyed the tastings too.

Our "driver" Joao Martins, was so much more than a driver! His knowledge and passion for the valley and Portugal were infectious and inspiring. He really made our tour so interesting, and easy and answered all our questions. Really needs far more than a 5-star rating!

Each wine estate had its own charm, but we enjoyed their guide Anna at Quinta do Crasto, and the lunch at Terraçus at Quinta Nova across the valley. The one thing we can say was not such a highlight was the boat trip. The views were magnificent.

All in all, we were really treated like Kings and Queens and highly commend your tour company.

Thank you for accommodating us, what with the Covid epidemic in between. Your professionalism, efficiency, and friendliness have been appreciated.

Dear Rita

I have been meaning to send you a message once we returned home. Firstly compliments the organization, timeliness, and some of the quality of various experiences.

Six Senses went above our expectations and the Chef’s table was a fabulous way to celebrate my husband’s birthday and kickstart our holiday perhaps the best part of the holiday.  Our only regret was we did not have enough time to enjoy the property and its spa and other facilities.  We definitely would like to return with the family and the suite we had was perfect its what we would want again.

The boat cruise was lovely and the weather held which was a true blessing.

All in all, we did have a lovely break and thank you for coordinating everything so well for us.  We definitely shall be in touch in the future and hope we can do our family holiday at Six Senses sometime again.

We had a great time on our vacation in the Douro. The Quinta de la Rosa is a wonderful place to stay. We really enjoyed their swimming pool on the hot afternoons. And the room was lovely - we were very glad to have gotten the suite since it also had a nice outdoor sitting area. Also, the bedrooms had good air conditioning :)

The activities you organized for us were wonderful. Highlights for us were visits to the wineries. The tour at the Quinta de la Rosa was great, as was the dinner at Quinta do Portal. On the day we biked we toured a few more Quintas (Bonfim, Roêda, and Tedo).

Our experience with WINTP was amazing! They handled every little detail for us and made our visit to the Douro Valley truly memorable. We were picked up at our apartment in Porto by Junior who provided an excellent introduction to the wine region. He even stopped at one of the locks on the river so we could watch a Viking boat rise up and move along. That afternoon we sailed on the Douro and shared a bottle of wine. We had a wine-pairing dinner at our Quinta.

The next day, Ricardo picked us up and drove us to 2 more wineries. He was very entertaining and enjoyable to drive with. He, like Junior, educated us on the culture and area. The highlight of the visit for me was the wine-pairing lunch at Quinta Nova! The food was amazing!

On the last day of our 3-day visit, Ricardo drove us to another Quinta. He knew all of the people who worked in the quintas which made it even more special. It felt like we had an "in" for these semi-private tours. We really felt like VIPs!

Dear Rita,

We enjoyed the tour very much, and we had a wonderful visit to the Alentejo region! 

The tour was delightful, and we enjoyed each of the three places we stayed. We loved the setting of the L'AND Hotel, and its architecture was stunning. The service there was immaculate, and the food was fantastic! 

We also really loved the setting of the Herdade do Sobroso, with its sweeping views over the vineyards and the sounds of many different birds. The Convento do Espinheiro was beautiful, and we enjoyed a tour of its baroque church and a walk through the gardens.

The winery visits and tastings chose by you were excellent, and we learned a lot about Alentejo wines as we sampled them.

As for our favorite events, Marsha loved the 2 cooking classes, especially the one at Sofia’s.  I particularly enjoyed the vineyard tour at Quinta das Carvalhas.  We also greatly enjoyed all 3 walking tours, each of which had very knowledgeable and friendly guides.

The wine tastings varied in quality. The tastings at Monte da Ravasqueira and Cartuxa were both good, with the private tasting at Cartuxa being exceptional. 

The whole experience at Quinta do Crasto and Quinta Nova were also exceptional, particularly the meals.

We loved staying at all 3 of the hotels you chose, with Quinta do Vallado being our favorite.  The Porto hotel (once we got there) also was wonderful. 

Both Coimbra and Lamego were interesting places to walk around.  We will highly recommend you and your company to our friends, and I expect that you will be hearing from 1 or 2 in the near future.

My husband and I had the absolute best day and that was largely due to Ricardo's time management, extensive knowledge of the Lisbon area and surrounding wine region, and his entertaining ability. We were having so much fun at our first stop that we lost track of time (...)  It was such a relief to not have to watch the clock and actually immerse ourselves in the history of the property and the passion behind the owner's presentation.

Everything was absolutely perfect. Rita helped us plan VERY LAST MINUTE and went above and beyond to help us celebrate our 25th anniversary (a year late). Our tour guides, "The Two Claudias"; Our drivers, Fernando and Carlos were all amazing guides, drivers, and overall ambassadors for your beautiful country. We are already thinking about when we can come back to see the Douro and some other of your wine regions. We wish we could have stayed longer! We are now in love with Portugal, and we haven’t even seen all of it, 6 days was too short!

Every restaurant and waiter treated us like we were the only people there and brought us the most delicious foods and wines. The staff everywhere we ate were amazing hosts. We were not able to stay very late for Fado because we were nervous about not being late to fly, but WOW! what we were able to stay for was amazing! That might be one recommendation, that perhaps Fado is the first day arriving in Lisboa since when you arrive you haven't really toured that city yet when you are dropped off at the hotel. Fado that night would have been a perfect into to somewhere you could go in the city the evening you arrive.

I did the 3-Day Porto and Douro Wine Tour in December 2021. From the moment I inquired about the tour, Rita was very attentive and responsive to my party's needs. We took a train from Lisbon to Porto to start our tour. Because we are still in the midst of a pandemic with ever-changing countries' rules and restrictions, Rita communicated Portugal’s covid-rule changes in a timely manner and scheduled our covid antigen tests for us ahead of time with costs and instructions. We arrived in Porto and took a taxi to the Pharmacy. The testing and results came quickly and we then checked into our hotel (the hotel required a negative test prior to check-in). On our first evening there we had dinner at Traça Restaurant for a planned 5-course meal with wine pairings & they knew about our food allergies ahead of time and accommodated us. The meals were great and the staff was attentive!

Day 2 - we had four wine cellar tours at Graham’s, Ferreira, and Calem. Calem had a Fado show included. We had lunch at Fladgate Restaurant with a planned menu and pairing, again they accommodated for allergies. Since we had our recent negative covid tests we had no issues following covid protocol. In hindsight, I didn’t realize how much port wine we would be drinking throughout the day. On day 2 we had 13 glasses of port wines at the tasting. Some crackers and water with. At Graham’s, we purchased a cheese platter to eat with our wines. Graham’s was our favorite cellar of the day! It was a long day, but a great experience. Everything was planned well and we had zero issues. Distance between the cellars was a little much for us so we planned on taxis or Uber to get us to each location. That was an added expense for us, but I knew that ahead of time.

Day 3 - we had a private driver pick us up at the hotel to drive us to the Douro Valley. He was early and arrived while we were eating breakfast. He was great throughout the day! We got to the Douro early so he took us to the river to stretch and view the sights at the bottom before heading to our first vineyard tour. We went to Quinta das Carvalhas (amazing views of the hills), a quick tour of Quinta de La Rosa which then included a pre-planned menu and wine pairings. This was hands down the best meal we had the entire time in Portugal. Our last tour was at Quinta do Porto. We arrived early, but I was feeling car sick. So we opted to skip the tour of their location and just try the port wines. They were very nice about it! We then were driven back to the hotel.

We actually had Rita book us an additional night at the hotel instead of checking out that morning like the tour was originally planned. Additionally, we needed another PCR covid test ahead of our flight back to the US. Rita booked that ahead of time for us too. We arrived and had no issues there.

It seems weird to say, but we had zero issues throughout this 3-day tour. We loved every moment of it! We have already recommended the tour to friends for future travel!

I thought I would take the time to review the trip that Barbara Casper and myself, Janice Wall, just returned from that you were kind enough to book. My thoughts are ever so positive of the experience. Our driver, Pedro Quintela was truly a star. We had him for three days, from arrival in Lisbon, and then driving us up to the Douro to Quinta Sao Bernardo. His knowledge, kindness, and gentleness were truly appreciated. Paula, our guide for ½ day was truly enthusiastic ad filled with great knowledge. The Fress was a highlight. Visiting the artisan studios was truly fabulous. A must for someone inclined. Our hotel ,Alma Lusa was perfect. Great, spacious rooms, terrific location, quiet and easy access. I would stay there again.

The highlight was Quinta Sao Bernardo. Although off the beaten path, I am sorry we didn’t stay for a third night just to enjoy the property. It was luxurious and tasteful without being haughty and trendy. The staff worked effortlessly and yet was always there to accommodate. The rooms were unbelievable and the restaurant just lovely. We loved our wine tasting at Crasto followed by an elegant meal at Novo. Absolutely perfect. Visiting the gardens and winery on our way into Porto was just a perfect stop. I love staying on the Ribeira. You really get a feel of the city, both nighttime, and daytime. If not possible…..I would then stay again. I do believe you were right that we should have booked one dinner on the Gaia side because the view is so incredible. The port tasting was of the highest level.

This trip and our photos were brilliant. Because of the use of fine drivers and good guides… I learned and saw more than I could have imagined. I thank you for your efforts on our behalf.

Everything is perfect and well planned!

Susana Pinho, Quinta Nova’s wine expert, was incredible and we did learn from all her knowledge. All the timings were perfect. We are certainly doing it again, and gathering some friends to discover new wines together.

The online tasting experience with Wine Tourism in Portugal and Quinta Nova was fantastic. It exceeded all my expectations. t was a delight to receive excellent wines and some pleasant surprises at home.

My fiance, Paul, and I enjoyed our trip very much! The train trip, vineyard tour, picnic, and boat tour all exceeded our expectations. It was a good mix of guided activities and solo time and we were happy that our vineyard tour was with just a small group. The timing of the day worked really well and booking the tickets and communicating with your company was very easy. Our favorite part was the picnic at the vineyard - it was a feast!

Great tour, well planned and we are recommending you to our friends. The driver was a great guide, and the drive from Lisbon to Quinta da Bacalhoa was lovely and so were the wines. Interesting place to visit just in the outskirts of the main city. 

We had a wonderful day!  Nelson, the driver, was on time (early even), and the car (Mercedes sedan) was very comfortable.  We enjoyed both of the wineries, and the lunch was a really great experience!   The wines were delicious, and we really enjoyed both of the tour hosts who guided our tour through the wineries.   We were not rushed, and we had time to talk with other guests who were also touring the wineries.  Very nice day - we would recommend it to anyone looking for a one-day winery tour experience out of Lisbon.  
I may contact you once again in a few months when I come back.  I am thinking of a multi-day tour in the Douro and Porto regions.  Thank you!

This wine tour and lunch were some of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. Our driver was very accommodating, the two winery tours were awesome, and the lunch was amazing. The entire day was such a treat as everyone involved worked to make us comfortable and to truly enjoy our experience!

We are now back in Cascais and would like to thank you so much for all the help we got from you to arrange this trip. Everything worked out perfectly and we are so pleased with our journey. Unfortunately, we missed the first visit, due to our GPS who played us a trick and showed us to another vineyard. But it didn’t matter because we visited so many other nice places and our stay at L’and was fantastic. Not to mention the dinner in the evening…. 

The visit and the cooking class at Joäo Portugal Ramos were really fun and the lunch was so good. We were also fortunate to meet Mr. João himself, such a nice man and he even upgraded the wine that we had for lunch! 

So, once again, we are so pleased with our tour and all the people we meet at the vineyards were so friendly and helpful and we learned a lot about winemaking and the great food in Alentejo. Now we are planning our next trip, we would like to come back for the harvest so be prepared to hear from us again!

José Maria da Fonseca – what history in a noble setting: Moscatel Roxo wines caught our imagination, the Al Ambres too, and the stories of the return wines.  The wine tasting was oriented more to the fast-moving wines; it would be nice to have a higher-end wine tasting experience on offer.

Quinta da Bacalhôa was exceptional from beginning to end with an extremely interesting guide for all aspects of the tour, with the piece de resistance being the tasting on the balcony overlooking the vines towards Lisbon with great wines – top class."

We enjoyed our day of tasting and we learned a lot about Porto. We had a preference for the very first winery: Churchill’s. We were welcomed very nicely and professionally. The guide (I can't remember her name sadly) spoke fluent French which felt really nice, and we were only two people for the tour, which felt cozier too! Since I am a professional in the wine industry, we felt her tour was very technical which was highly appreciated. She was very kind to us and she could answer all of our questions. 

Also, my mom underlined the fact that Churchill respects authenticity and traditions.

Quinta do Crasto was the best tour with a very young female guide taking us around - very personal, great estate, and the tasking as not hurried and fun - gave us a pitcher of water too.  We waited around the infinity pool, which was a treat.  The cruise was leisurely.
