Payment: It will be charged 50% of the amount of the reservation when the reservation is confirmed and 50% within 45 days prior to arrival date.
Cancellation: until 45 days prior to the date of the tour: it will be charged a 2,50% fee on the total amount of the reservation. Cancellation with less than 45 days prior to the tour date: it will be charged a cancellation fee of 100% of the total amount.

Day 1

Check-in at Infante Sagres Hotel. The Infante Sagres Hotel is one of the most important boutique hotels in Porto, a true icon of modern design and intimate atmosphere. Everywhere in the Hotel, the classic sensibility is allied with the best of the contemporary design, a happy combination that offers a comfortable stay, luxurious and unforgettable.

Meet with the Private Guide who will show you the highlights of the city of Porto, beginning in the historic centre we will take you to the Clérigos Tower, designed and decorated by the Italian architect Nicolau Nasoni, located near Lello Bookstore, considered by Lonely Planet one of the three most beautiful bookstores in the world. Across Aliados Avenue, you will find São Bento Railway Station, where you can observe its twenty thousand painted tiles, depicting historical landmarks. Continue to Santa Catarina street where is located the Majestic Café. Then, enjoy one of the most beautiful views over the Douro River from Porto Cathedral. Originally built in the 12th century, Porto Cathedral still has the original merlons and twin towers, although the towers are now topped by 18th century additions. It has undergone various alterations over the centuries, the most important additions being the Gothic rose window and cloister (14th century), the 17th century chancel, the 18th century high altar retable and the rococo doorway. Worthy of particular note is the work done by Nicolau Nasoni in the 18th century, especially in the murals and balconies.then, you will visit the Stock Exchange Palace of Porto "Palácio da Bolsa", the building with the most different architectural styles in Porto. Finally, a visit to the Church of Saint Francis that is the most prominent Gothic monument in Porto, being also noted for its outstanding Baroque inner decoration. Decorated with exuberant gilt wood work or gold leaf “talha dourada” , this decorative richness covering almost completely the roofs of the aisles, pillars, window frames and chapels and hiding the underlying mediaeval architecture.

Dinner is waiting for you at DOP Restaurant. The restaurant is situated in the Palace of the Arts in the historic city center, classified as World Heritage. This building is full of history. It began as the S. Domingos Convent and remained active since the fourteenth century, as a venue for auctions and council meetings. The concept of the Palace of Arts fits perfectly in the project of the Michelin Star Chef Rui Paula, who understands the gastronomy field as a creation with a strong cultural component. DOP has been designed to operate as a good taste, space cosmopolitan and yet familiar, and the generator of exciting dining experiences. You will experience the flavours of a pre-set Menu paired with great wine.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

Going down the street, you will find Gaia's riverside, where you’ll visit Croft Cellars and taste the wines of this cellar with more than four centuries of history, an unforgettable opportunity. You will have a guided visit and wine tasting.

Having as background one of the best views, you will enjoy a wine experience in one of the most important national cellars, the multi-award winning Ferreira Cellars. You will have a guided visit and wine tasting.

After the visits to the Cellars, you will be delighted with the Decastro Gaia restaurant cuisine, an irreverent gastronomic proposal that joins Porto Cruz wines and the culture of Portuguese gastronomy.

Leave towards the Douro Valley, the oldest wine region in the world.

You will stay at Quinta do Vallado Wine Hotel. Quinta do Vallado welcomes its guest in its comfortable Wine Hotel since 2005. It belonged to the legendary Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and remains to this day as property of her descendants. The Wine Hotel consists of two buildings with different settings that combine tradition and modernity, a compound that was built and designed inspired by the Douro wine environment. It has 13 rooms; 5 bedrooms in the historic building of the Quinta - built in 1733 and recently restored - and 8 rooms in the new building, built in 2012 and designed by the Architect Francisco Vieira de Campos that used mainly schist in this work.

After checking-in your luggage, you will have the opportunity to visit Quinta do Vallado Winery. Built in 2009, the new barrel cellar combines the latest technology with a high quality architecture that makes this Quinta one of the places to visit in the Douro Valley. You will have a guided visit and wine tasting.

Your dinner will be served at Castas & Pratos, a luxury restaurant with a refined wine list located in an old railway station in Régua.

Day 5

Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

You will visit two of the most important Quintas in the Douro Valley.

First stop will be at Quinta do Crasto. Located on the right bank of the River Douro, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is owned by the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for more than a century. Its origin dates back to the 19th century. One of the greatest acknowledgments came in 2008, when Wine Spectator, an international reference of the sector, considered Quinta do Crasto Reserva Vinhas Velhas 2005, coming from vineyards with 70 years, the third best wine in the world that year, giving it a rating of 95 in one hundred points. Here you will visit the vineyards, including the famous old vineyards of Quinta do Crasto, a winery and a barrel cellar, where the Premium table wines and Port wines are staging. After the visit you will have a tasting of 5 wines, duly presented by a manager of Quinta do Crasto, who will guide the visitor through the experience.

Then, you will discover Quinta Nova, Nossa Senhora do Carmo. "One of the 9 must-see wineries in the world",American Airlines.Quinta Nova Nossa Senhora do Carmo is a place of extreme beauty in the heart of the Douro and it's owned by the Amorim family since 1999. But this property is prior to 1764 and a historical research confirms it as a great land belonging to the Portuguese Royal Family. This is undoubtedly one of the oldest wineries in the Douro region, producing port wine for the Quinta and for many other plots of neighboring farms, given its large size. You will have a guided Tour through the vines, winery dated from 1764 and the underground cellar. The visit ends with a tasting.

After the Wine experience, enjoy Dinner and views in the Conceitus Restaurant. Here, the menu appeals to the senses and emotions, in a relaxed and curious way. The proposals are different every day and guests never know the menu, letting themselves be guided by the inspiration of Chef José Pinto.

Day 6

Breakfast will be served at the hotel.

You will visit Quinta das Carvalhas, Real Companhia Velha's "crown jewel", where you will meet the agronomy engineer that will explain you the varieties and wine producing methods.

Then, discover Quinta de La Rosa. The Quinta was built in an unusual location, on a hill with steep stairs that connect the different levels besides the Douro River. Here it is produced the wine that is provided to some of the most important Restaurants and Retailers all over the world. You will have a guided visit and wine tasting.

After the wine experience, enjoy dinner at Quinta de La Rosa Restaurant where visitors will enjoy a three-course meal, with table and Port wines.

Breakfast will be served at the hotel followed by Check-out.

It’s time to enjoy one of the best Cruises in the Douro River. Be amazed by the scenarios that Douro has to offer, aboard a sailboat in the Douro valley.
